No. ResolveTime detects when DaVinci Resolve is in the foreground and starts tracking automatically. When you switch apps or close Resolve, tracking stops.
Tracking pauses as soon as Resolve loses focus. You can optionally enable Finder tracking — when Finder is in the foreground and a Resolve project is open, the timer keeps running.

On macOS, ResolveTime uses Apple Events to detect the active DaVinci Resolve project — macOS will ask for permission the first time. On Windows, no special permissions are required.
The Annual plan includes all future updates and new features for as long as your subscription is active. The One-Time purchase gives you the current version of the app permanently — it will continue to work, but will not receive updates or new features.
